Vickie Meharg is the owner and principal designer at Oak Hill Interior Design LLC. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of North Texas in Denton. She has also studied Interior Design in New York, Chicago, and Paris. Shortly after graduation she had the opportunity to be trained as a Kitchen and Bath designer and has been hooked ever since. She is also trained and experienced in Window Treatments, all residential spaces, small retail, and small commercial design.

While living in Maryland, she was published in the Washington Post and several other publications in Washington County. She lived in the Oak Hill Historic District and served on the Historic District Commission for 5 years, as Co-Chair the last 2 years. She was the Design Consultant for the Historic Maryland Theatre where she assisted in several renovations assuring the repairs and improvements were historically appropriate.

She is a former board member of the Fort Worth Chapter of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).

During the consulting phase, the design team works directly with the client to assess needs, personal style, use for the space(s), and budget. Measurements and photos are also taken at this time.

    During the consulting phase, the design team works directly with the client to assess needs, personal style, use for the space(s), and budget. Measurements and photos are also taken at this time.

  • Design

    In the design phase, the layout is developed and finishes are discussed. Floor plans, elevations and 3D perspectives are created and presented to the client for review and revisions.

  • Develop

    The designer makes final revisions to the layout. The contract with pricing, finishes, fixtures, all other elements of the project, and layout is presented to the client for final approval.

  • Implement

    This is the final step in Bringing your Vision to Life!
    Products are ordered and installed. The designer works with the client and the installation team to ensure projects are completed to the client’s satisfaction down to the finest details.

Vickie has done beautiful work that I experienced firsthand. Her beautiful kitchen was impeccably done from cabinets to the curtains to the lovely blue sparkly granite island with lighting overhead. A show-stopper kitchen. A small bathroom had flowered wallpaper topped off with a chandelier. Drapes in a living room are oh so dramatic.
 
She even helped me pick out materials for items I wanted to reupholster. Looks wonderful. She even bailed me out when I chose the wrong color paints for my 100-year-old home. She chose the colors for that time period.
 
I would highly recommend her and her work.

Oak Hill Interior Design was a true blessing!
My husband and I were very overwhelmed with building a custom home, she was there to guide us in the cabinet and tile selection that seemed bewildering. She helped us fine-tune our vision and made our dream home become a reality.
